We were commissioned to produce a visually striking drone video for JB Rawcliffe & Sons, documenting the movement of an abnormal load from Liverpool Jaguar Land Rover to Stallbridge Dock. This wasn’t just about capturing heavy haulage — the aim was to highlight the complexity, scale, and precision of the operation. Filming took place within restricted airspace near Liverpool John Lennon Airport, requiring seamless coordination with both LPL Air Traffic Control and Merseyside Police.
OUR APPROACH
We began by obtaining operational clearance from Air Traffic Control, providing flight plans and timing details to ensure operational safety within controlled airspace. Simultaneously, we worked closely with Merseyside Police, syncing drone operations with their escort schedule. On the day, our drone team executed the shoot with precision, capturing the load in motion from multiple vantage points. Dynamic aerial tracking shots were used to convey movement and scale, while static compositions showcased coordination between driver, escort, and environment.
